UM YOUTH
Methodist Youth Fellowship invites youth of all ages to participate in our gatherings. Our goal is to share the message of our salvation through Jesus, and to use that message to make disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We hope to accomplish our goal by offering a wide variety of activities that are created to bring families and our community closer together to learn about God and His Son, to serve those in need in our community and our world, to foster Christian fellowship and cooperation and to have fun in a safe and caring environment.
Currently our Youth group is composed of about 25-30 children and youth ranging from toddlers to high school. In recent years we have attempted to plan activities and missions that can be enjoyed by all ages, and we love to see entire families involved together! However, we also are looking to expand our teens’ programs to share God’s love with a larger number of teenagers and to give them greater opportunities to impact their world for Christ.
In the months to come, we have plans to help feed those facing desperate times in our community, to assist those physically unable to care for their property, to encourage multi-church cooperation, to send our teens on a faith-based weekend retreat, and much more. Keep checking this website and listening during church announcements for our 2009-2010 calendar of events.
If you and your children are looking for ways to connect with God, if you have ideas you’d like to see implemented, talents you’d like to share, or just a little time available to serve the next generation of believers, we’d love to have you join us! If you have questions or comments please feel free to contact Becky Rice, 517-223-8276.
