I'm sure all of you have experienced this old adage; of using the right tool for the job, is the quickest, easiest way to job well done. Sadly, we also know the reverse is also true. I came across a couple of "tool" quotes, and thought they might help to shape our attudes and ideas on stewardship.

"The best investment is in the tools of one's own trade." - Ben Franklin (inventor and politician)

"A good tool improves the way you work. A great tool improves the way you think." - Jeff Duntemann (Technical and sci-fi writer)

There's a tool for every job, "stewardship" can be thought of as a set of tools. Christian stewardship is the practice of systematic and proportionate giving of time, abilities, and material resources; based on the conviction that these are "in trust", from God, to be used in God's service for the benefit of all humankind in grateful acknowledgement of Christ's redeeming love!

Give God what is due unto God. Give out of a heart of love. Give out of an honest and resonable evaluation of your resources. I think you may prove that the "right tool" works, so much better than just any of tool taken from the toolbox.
