When we think of a love that is true and pure, it is the love of God that sets the standard. More than romatic love, more than human love for friends or family, God's love surpasses it all. God gives us the model to follow for how we should love to others.
How does God love us? Let us cout the ways
God love is patient, kind, and unconditional.
We are not forced to love God in return. He waits, still loving us even when we turn away. We are loved even when we choose to live in sin. God's love is nto determined by what we do or based on requirements we must meet. Freely given, we are loved and valued no matter what.
God's love is always there, no start, no end, it is everlasting
Psalm 100:5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through the generations.
God's love is true, pure and perfect.
God cares for all of His creation. We can trust and know that God's love is there for us.
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth our fear; because fear is torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
God protects us with a love that is fierce and strong.
With God's love around us, He shields us from evil. He will fight our battles. If God is for us, who dares to ge against us. His love is active, relentless, an all-consuming force that refuses to let go. No obstacles can stop it. It is determined to see individuals fully grow into the best version of themselves,
God's love is compassionate and gracious
Psalm 145:8-9 The Lord is gracious and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The Lord is good to all and His tender mercies are over all His works.
God's love is transformative.
Experiencing the love of God can bring about a change in heart, behaviors and attitudes. Love like God's has the power to alter for the better anything it touches. This love results in action, it moves people to become more like Jesus, reflecting God's love, and giving that love to others. Love changes the world.
God's love is warm and encouraging.
God comforts us in all our troubles, so we can comfort those in any trouble with the confort that we have received. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
God's love is forgiving and merciful.
God forgets our sins and removes them "as far as the east is from the west", with his great mercy available to all (Psalm 103 & Psalm 136)
God's love is sacrificial.
There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends. (John 15:13)
God's love never fails and nothing can seperate us from this love. (Romans 8:38-39)
God's love teaches and heals. God's love is everlasting, generous and abundant. It is deep and wide, without limits. No, we can never be done counting the ways God loves us. Let's never be tired of thanking God for His great love and doing the work to share that love wherever we go.
God Bless & Amen!
